The Tassel Worth The Hassle
It is graduates' time to close one chapter and set their sights on whatever is next. Do you know what the significance of the graduates' mortar board hat and tassel represents?
This Sunday, we are looking at the life of David as he writes Psalm 54. As David lived his life, he sometimes had to learn the hard way that the Lord wanted to break him to make him. Winds of hardship are no doubt on the horizon for each one of us, and our graduates will soon realize - there will come a time where we need a strong rock and shelter from the storms of life. What or who will that rock be?
Church, be in prayer for these precious graduates. The world doesn't hold all the answers; it holds a lot of tough and troubling questions. But the Word of God holds life. It holds answers to the tough questions. Please be in prayer for each of the graduates as they begin this next chapter. May they run to the One who can tuck us under His wings against the assailing winds of this life. Who can keep us from falling apart without hope. Who can keep us abiding in the Word so we have the tools to meet the challenge before us.
